with the Office
of Fair Trading,
two issues
were raised
by them in
relation to
the Debt Management
industry.
Terms
within a contract
Contracts
examined included
clauses which
were deemed
to be unfair
at the time
of signing
or punitive
at a later
date. For
this reason,
Gemstone does
not ask you
to sign any
form of contract.
Instead, we
provide a
Code of Conduct
outlining
our operating
practices
detailing
what we would
expect from
anyone participating
in the 'Freedom'
Plan.
Suspension
of interest
No company,
organisation
or body can
guarantee
the suspension
of interest
in all cases,
by all Creditors.
Gemstone will
negotiate
on your behalf
to suspend
or reduce
interest during
the period
in which you
experience
financial
difficulty.
As mentioned
previously,
we only look
to offer help
to those who
genuinely
need it. Once
your financial
situation
improves sufficiently,
we would look
to conclude
the plan,
allowing you
to get on
with the rest
of your life.
